Sleep. I need sleep. I feel like Tom in one of the Tom&Jerry cartoons where he’s keeping his eyelids open with matchsticks to stay up. Scrubs is partly to blame. (Bet you thought I was working too hard or something right? :D) I bought the Season 4 DVD when I was in London and I’ve been watching it every night before I sleep. Only problem is I can’t bring myself to stop after one episode so as a result I have bags under my eyes that make me look like I’m about 50.

Not gonna get much sleep the rest of the month either so I better get used to looking like something the cat dragged in. Gonna have houseguests all of this month, which means a month long family gathering coz everyone has to come see the ‘phoren return’ cousins, even though half of them probably don’t even remember their names. Sheesh.

Yes I sound a bit disgruntled. Its Friday night, and I should be out partying somewhere, but a. I have to go to the office tomorrow (mutter mutter) and b. even if I didn’t, I have this Cinderella type situation happening, can’t stay out past midnight ever which quite limits the partying potential. I am determined however to not waste a perfectly good Friday night sleeping, so I will risk falling asleep at my desk at work tomorrow. Besides Scrubs, I’m also in the middle of this brilliant book by Amitav Ghosh called Through the Glass Palace so I really want to read some more. I hate it when books get this good. You can’t keep them away without finishing them, which means being cranky all of the next day coz of insufficient sleep. This one is set in Burma and India during the colonial rule and is very well written. I like books that take you places. You actually feel as though you’ve visited the places they’ve described. Whenever I feel the urge to get away from Delhi, and go out and travel, I read something like this. Its the next best thing to actually going places, and I can console myself thinking I’ll do all the travelling I want once I go to university for further studies. 

I have quite forgotten the original point of this post. Not much to report about SearchMyCampus since my last post. Things are going very good. We’re trying to expand our team which is a little bit sticky right now, we don’t seem to have found the right channels yet. If anyone out there is looking for a job, let me know, and we’ll discuss available options. We’ve got quite a few exciting opportunities available for developers, marketing professionals, content writers, bloggers, and just anyone else who thinks they can contribute somehow. We’re also looking for partners to collaborate with, and I’ve just written a long post about that on our team blog which you can read here.

I’ll be getting back to my book now. I forgot to mention that I don’t need to study for the exam I was talking about before, because I got to know a couple of days ago that I haven’t completed the necessary forms so I’m not eligible. Oh well. Their loss. <shrugs>
